 By car from Oxford and the north

• Proceed to "Hinksey Hill Interchange" on the A34. South junction for Oxford with A423. The AA's on-line route planner (www.theaa.com) recognises Hinksey Hill Interchange as a valid destination
• Exit roundabout up Hinksey Hill (and the A4183) toward Wootton
• Proceed for 1 mile - up the hill, bearing left with the main road, past the Westwood Country Hotel and through woods
• About 1 mile on from the hotel, turn left at "Kennington 1" signpost into Bagley Wood Road
• Proceed for 1 mile, over the A34 just past the 30 mile speed limit signs
• After the 30 mile sign Small World is on the right

By car from motorways to Hinksey Hill Interchange

1. M40 going south from Birmingham - take junction 9 onto A34 south toward Oxford, ~12 miles 
2. M4 going west from London and east from Bristol or Swindon; junction 13 onto A34 north toward Oxford, ~33 miles
3. M40 going north (from London)

• Junction 8 off M40 slip-road onto A40 into Oxford (~5 miles of dual carriageway)
• Left at end of A40 on "Headington" roundabout onto A4142/Ring road to 'The South'
• Proceed approx. 10 minutes - through three sets of traffic lights, past Mini car plant, over a flyover and straight over four roundabouts
• "Littlemore" roundabout is controlled by traffic lights - go straight.
• "Heyford Hill" roundabout. Sainsburys supermarket is on the left; take the 3rd exit towards Newbury (A34) and The Midlands, bearing right onto A423.
• Keep left at "Kennington" roundabout. (Park-and-ride and Oxford are to the right.)
• Ignore the signpost on the left to Kennington /Radley after this.
• This brings you to the "Hinksey Hill Interchange".

From Abingdon and the south

• Proceed out of Abingdon on the Oxford Road
• Onto the A4183, up Lodge Hill, over the A34 for approximately 1 mile
• 2nd right into Bagley Wood Road, signposted "Kennington 1"
• Proceed for 1 mile, over the A34 just past the 30 mile speed limit signs
• After the 30 mile sign Small World is on the right

By Bus or Train

• Proceed to Oxford railway or bus station
• Find your way to St. Aldates (we can send you a map of Oxford if you'd like one)
• Catch the bus number 35 or 35A.
• Ask the driver to let you off outside St. Swithun's Primary School in Kennington
• Stay on the bus until the school, even if you notice 'Bagley Wood Road' beforehand
• Walk in the same direction as the bus to a small roundabout (~50m)
• Turn right into St. Swithun's Road and proceed for approximately one third of a mile
• Bear left (twice) and continue up the hill (no pavements)
• Do not turn right into a narrow road signposted Bagley Wood Road
• Small World is the 3rd entrance on the left up the hill

It should take approximately 15 minutes by bus and 5 minutes walk. Buses are every 15 minutes during the day (see http://www.oxfordbus.co.uk)

• Approach from the car park side of the building (not under the arch, nor through garden gate)
• Ring the doorbell of the 2nd door you come to; the one with vertical glass panels
